Most of these questions come up in the first call with new clients. If yours is not on the list, drop us an email and we’ll add the answer to this page.
How long does a Boldtura commission take?
Most residential pieces are ready within 10 to 14 weeks from final approval. Larger projects such as suites of dining chairs or a hospitality fit-out usually run 16 to 20 weeks. We share a calendar week by week once your deposit clears.
Do you ship outside the Klang Valley?
Yes. Our crating partner covers all of Peninsular Malaysia with insured road freight. Delivery to Sabah and Sarawak is available on request and at additional cost — we quote it line-by-line at briefing stage.
Can I provide my own upholstery fabric (COM)?
Of course. We will review your fabric for suitability — rub count, fibre content, fire performance, pattern repeat — and confirm meterage before cutting begins. Please allow ten working days for the review and approval round.
Is a workshop visit possible?
Visits are by appointment Monday to Saturday between 09:00 and 18:00. The workshop is in Sungai Buloh, about a 30-minute drive from central KL outside peak hours. Tours last around forty minutes and there is always coffee.
What deposit do you ask for?
A 50% deposit on commencement, with the balance settled before delivery. For commissions over RM30,000 we offer a three-stage schedule split across sign-off, build start and dispatch.
What if I don’t love it when it arrives?
Because every piece is built to your specification, we cannot offer change-of-mind refunds. We do however offer a no-fee adjustment visit within the first six months — slipcovers, cushion fill, a settled joint — anything that isn’t how we promised it would be.
Do you offer guarantees?
Frames and joinery carry a five-year structural warranty. Springs and foam carry three-year cover. Fabric carries one year. The full schedule is set out in your quote and in our Terms & Conditions.
Can you copy a piece I’ve seen elsewhere?
If the piece is in the public domain or your own, yes — happily. If it is a current model from a named designer, we will suggest a respectful reinterpretation rather than a literal copy. The line between inspiration and replication matters to us.
Do you handle disposal of my old furniture?
On delivery day, our crew can remove one similar-sized piece (a sofa for a sofa) and donate it to one of two partners — Kechara Soup Kitchen and a Sungai Buloh refugee resettlement charity. Larger removals are quoted separately.
